PeacePlace2GO (Friedensort2GO)
PeacePlace2GO (Friedensort2GO) is a platform for encounter and education in the real world and the multimedia world. You are invited to cross the bridge from the real world with artwork and information signposts to the digital world of a website. There you will find content to read, listen to, watch or participate in. All this was created by people from many countries. You are invited to let yourself be inspired and challenged. And then you decide which steps towards peace you would like to go. Every step is worthwhile. Peace2GO.
Peace2GO is a project of the Evangelical Lutheran Mission in Lower Saxony (ELM).
The PeacePlace2GO-Path
The ” PeacePlace2GO-Path ” in Hermannsburg has a total length of just over 4 kilometers, which can be walked in about 60 – 80 minutes. Recommended pilgrimage time: about 2 – 3 hours. The PeacePlace2GO-Path consists of six stations. Each station presents an artwork which was designed and created by the Russian artist couple Wladimir and Natalia Rudolf from Munster. These artworks can be seen as the connecting thread that makes all the stations recognizable as an element of the path. Most stations offer a place to sit and meditate on the artwork and the station‘s theme. Each station also presents an information signpost, designed in the form of a pilgrim’s pathfinding sign. This signpost contains some general information about the path, the station, the further options to explore and an action point for the way to the next station.
