Bischof Bvumbwe
In an attempt to fight rampant corruption in Malawi I was identified by the national leadership and elected as the first Chairperson of the National Integrity Committee of Malawi, a body created by the Act of Parliament to oversee the implementation of the national anti-corruption strategy. My appointment working through the committee I assisted to fight corruption at national level by creation of national integrity committees in the government departments and at the workplace in the private sector. This pleased the majority of Malawians and figures showed that corruption was reducing substantially which contributed to peaceful building in Malawi.
